Members of Ghana Navy Male Basketball Team have stated it’s just a “matter of time” before the team wins the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I title following the team’s appearance on trendy basketball television show “Courtside”.

The contingent which was made up of players from the team and two players from the team’s female side was led by Coach Alexander Tindani and Male Team Captain Sylvester Essilfie, touched on wide array of issues with host Yaw Sakyi Afari.

Asked what it will take for Navy to win the title, wingman Yaw Afrifa stated, “It is just a matter of time”. Coach Tindani agreed further with his player’s statement acknowledging the fact that it will take some time for Navy to topple reigning champions Braves of Customs.

However, Navy needs to quickly rediscover the form that took the side to the playoffs last season following a winless run in the first half of the 2017 season. The side is bottom of the Division I standings having lost all games.

The female side has performed better thus far in the season courtesy a third position in the Women’s Division.
Courtside airs on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports on Sundays between 14:00 and 16:00 GMT.
