Volunteers sweeping water off the court.

The latest round of games in the Tema Community Basketball League will go on as planned despite a heavy downpour that has affected most parts of Ghana’s capital, Accra.

The region’s harbor city Tema is one of the affected areas and its court has been badly hit by the rains.

However, the opening games between Reformers of Prisons and Community 12 is just minutes from tipoff after the inundated court was swept clean off water and debris left behind from the storm.

The game is the first of four to be honored today with the aforementioned fixture set to precede Community 5’s game against Ghana Police; both fixtures are in the league’s Group A.

In Group B, Adenta Leopards will play Ashaiman-based Don Bosco Giants before an all Tema derby concludes the activities for the day as Community 4 plays Community 2.

Following a close 36-40 loss to Tema Heat in the last round, home side Community 4 will in the hunt for a way back to the win column.
