Fire Service has secured its second win of the season following a 45-34 win over University of Ghana (UG) in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division in a game played at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

Prior to this game, last season’s worst performing side in the division had won just a game all season which was a 36-32 win over UG. The win puts Fire’s record at par with UG’s two wins in six games record for the season.

With the chance of avoiding a similar record like last season, highly rated Guard Carlyn Adjei took over the game with dazzling dribbling and shooting displays.

Unlike previous games where the mercurial Guard has had to do the scoring on her own, she had help this time around.

Center Nafisa Iddrissu and Forward Theresa Dodoo ensured Adjei’s flashes of no look passes and defense splitting setups were converted.

In the first quarter, Adjei caught UG’s defense napping to slip a beautiful through for Iddrissu to score an uncontested layup in the paint.

Adjei, the 2016 MVP nominee, produced the highlight of the game delivering a no look pass for Dodoo to score in the second half.

Tudu Galaxy beat Ghana Navy 28-19 in the last game of the round.
