As the days continue to count down to the 2017 NBA Draft, Ghana’s wait for a second player in the world’s best league continues in similar fashion.

University of Connecticut (UCONN) Center Amida Brimah is in line to be drafted on June 22 after graduating from the Huskies program.

Should he be drafted, he will be the second Ghana-born player to be drafted into the NBA following Ben Bentil getting picked 51st overall last season.

Despite averaging 7.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.6 blocks through his four year stay at UCONN, Brimah has not received a lot of buzz ahead of the draft and was not invited to the Draft Combine which takes place between May 9-14.

Brimah could work his way into the books of NBA scouts with strong showings at private workout sessions thanks to the Accra-born player’s impressive physique.

His ability to alter shots is an invaluable tool in the modern game which values three point shooting Forwards and Centers.
