Games at the 7th Mini GUSA Games basketball competition were played at the venue.
University of Cape-Coast’s Court was constructed late last year.
Quizzed on what the missing key is in Ghana Basketball from reaching the top, the first player born and raised in the West African country to play in the NBA, Ben Bentil has stated the lack of an indoor court is one of the main problems.

The 2016 Boston Celtics draftee made the statement on the sidelines of a press conference held earlier today at the University of Ghana Sports Directorate to talk about his upcoming projects including organizing basketball skill camps in Accra and Takoradi.

“The fact that there is no indoor court here. The fact that I know am coming home and I have got to drive all the way back to Cape-Coast to get an indoor court to workout so that’s one thing that we have got to take care off”.

“Am trying to help out am trying to make that happen too so its one of the dreams to make it happen so we all can have a gym, we can have a national team and we can do whatever we wanna do”.

The first edition of the camp is scheduled to take place at the home of 2016 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) fourth place side Takoradi Technical University.
