UENR keeps GSP League Title up in the air

University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) is keeping the title race in the Global Sporting Projects (GSP) Basketball League interesting thanks to a heavy 56-6 win over Barracks Scorpions in an outstanding game played at the Eusbett Hotel Court in Sunyani.

The big win means UENR jumps to second place with 21 points just two points separating the side from league leaders Suncity Braves.

With just a game left to play this season the final round of games are super crucial in deciding which team wins this year’s title.

Thanks to a 33 superior goal difference over Braves, Suncity needs to win its final game of the season to lift the trophy.

However, a win for UENR and a loss for Braves will see the tertiary side clinch the title for the first time and end Braves reign as champions.

Another outstanding game between Desert Rabbits and Sunyani Technical University could not be honored.
