As the playoffs excitement continues, the Golden State Warriors have become the second team to advance to the second round after sweeping the Portland Trail Blazers 4-0 in their first-round series. In other matchups, the Raptors have taken a 3-2 lead after beating the Milwaukee Bucks in Toronto and the Hawks evened things up in Atlanta.
Warriors take series 4-0
The Golden State Warriors have advanced to the second round with a clean-sheet after beating the Portland Trail Blazers 128-103. Stephen Curry had 37 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, Draymond Green, who had five 3-pointers, put up 21 points, six rebounds and four assists, while Klay Thompson finished with 18 points.
Damian Lillard led the Blazers with 34 points and six assists, Nigerian forward Al-Farouq Aminu had 25 points and seven rebounds, Shabazz Napier 14 points, and Liberian-American forward Noah Vonleh finished with 14 rebounds.
Raptors take the lead
The Raptors defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 118-93 in Toronto and now have a 3-2 lead in their first-round series. Norman Powell had 25 points, four rebounds and four assists, Congolese forward Serge Ibaka 19 points and six rebounds, DeMar DeRozan 18 points and six assists, while Kyle Lowry finished with a 16-point, 10-assist double-double.
Nigerian-Greek forward Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 30 points and nine rebounds, Malcolm Brogdon had 19 points, and Greg Monroe had 11 points.
Hawks level things up
The Atlanta Hawks took care of homecourt and beat the Washington Wizards 111-101 to even their series 2-2. Paul Millsap had 19 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, Gambian-German guard Dennis Schroder 18 points, and Dwight Howard ended the game with a 16-point, 15-rebound double-double.
The Wizards were led by Bradley Beal with 32 points and five rebounds, John Wall had a 22-point, 10-assist double-double, and Otto Porter Jr and Bojan Bogdanovic combined for 26 with 13 points each.
