Combo Forward and the first Ghana-born player to play in the NBA, Ben Bentil will be the main attraction at a specially organized basketball camp to be held at the Takoradi Technical University (TTU) Basketball Court.
The one day event takes place on Saturday April 29 and is in conjunction with the Western Basketball Association in the West African country.
The event begins at 7:00 AM GMT and a clinic will be organized for players between under 16 and under 18. Skill and Development sessions and an All Star Game will be held.
Bentil, who was born and raised in the other half of the Twin City Sekondi, etched his name in the history books after getting drafted 51st overall by Boston Celtics in the 2016 NBA Draft following a two stay at Providence College.
However, he made his NBA debut with Dallas Mavericks and has since been playing with Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA’s Development League. He also had a two month stint with Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers in the Chinese Basketball Association.
