Several distasteful instances happened at the Lebanon House Court in the latest round of games in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I as Fire Service lost 52-65 to Braves of Customs and DC Dynamics beat Ghana Navy 62-61.

Both games turned out to be ill tempered and fraught with indiscipline from players and in some instances technical men as Referees failed to dish out punishments accordingly.

The opening game between Fire and Braves was always going to be a tough one considering Fire had yet to lose a game this season and Braves looked to have regained its all conquering self.

That aside, the expulsion of Fire Forward Farahat Tamimu from Braves due to a fracas with Patrick Gomerli prior to the 2016 season was one to watch out for.

Gomerli got into it with Tamimu as the former sent the latter crashing to the floor with a forearm swipe causing players from both sides to intervene.

Both men were in the eye of the storm again in a scuffle as more personnel flooded the court including Fire veteran Masiru Dogoe.

The controversy continued as DC Dynamics picked Navy’s pocket for its maiden win of the season. However, Nana Bissue Yankah who is out injured, got into a verbal altercation and a near physical one with a fan while sitting on Dynamics bench.

Navy Assistant Coach Nana Tuffour got ejected after running unto the court to dispute a call as time expired. His actions sent Dynamics to the free throw line and the Dansoman side benefitted to eke out a one point win over Navy.
