Tudu Galaxy has retaken its spot atop the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division standings after ceding it to Ghana Navy due to an inferior goal difference.
The side reclaimed its spot thanks to a hard fought 24-22 win over Braves of Customs in the latest round of games played at the Lebanon House Court.
The win was Galaxy’s second of the season over the defending champions following a 31-29 win earlier in the season opener.
The loss is Braves third in five games in what has been a very poor campaign.
Braves won all games to win the title last season but has found wins difficult to come by this season.
However, Galaxy’s climb to the top was aided by Ghana Navy’s failure to honor its tie against bottom ranked University of Ghana (UG) in the second game of the round due to heavy rain.
