The Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division comes alive later today at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu with two games set to be played.
Braves of Customs will be in action against Tudu Galaxy in the opening game before Ghana Navy takes on University of Ghana (UG) in the final matchup of the round.
Both games will feature a team in the top spots in the standings with the opening tie involving second placed Galaxy while league leaders Navy will be involved in the second game.
Navy and Galaxy are tied on seven points but the former edges the latter thanks to a superior goal difference.
Both teams recorded impressive wins in the last round of games with Navy beating defending champions Braves 53-50 while Galaxy got the better of Fire Service courtesy a 34-30 win.
On the back off a poor run of form that has seen the side low two in four games this season, Braves lie third in the five team standings with six points.
For UG, facing the league leaders Navy is a tough call for the tertiary side with the team ranked bottom in the standings. Below is the Division’s standings:
Team | GP | W | L | GF | GA | DIFF | PTS |
Ghana Navy | 4 | 3 | 1 | 170 | 144 | 26 | 7 |
Tudu Galaxy | 4 | 3 | 1 | 124 | 121 | 3 | 7 |
Braves of Customs | 4 | 2 | 2 | 170 | 138 | 32 | 6 |
Fire Service | 4 | 1 | 3 | 129 | 158 | -29 | 5 |
University of Ghana | 4 | 1 | 3 | 119 | 153 | -34 | 5 |
