Fire burns Tema as Magic dazzle in Accra League

Fire Service beaten Tema Youth in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I at the Lebanon House Court courtesy an 87-83 win in the first of two games played at the venue.

The second game of the round had home side Tudu Magic brush Adenta Leopards aside with a 52-43 win over the league debutants.

Losing to Magic means Adenta is winless in three straight games despite fielding a much stronger roster than it did in previous outings including the 46-100 hammering at the hands of defending champions Braves.

Heading into the game, neither Fire nor Tema had tasted defeat this season with Tema having played a game more than the former.

However, Fire performed brilliantly to thwart the efforts of Youth and score an important win after the team’s tie against DC Dynamics got called off.

Thanks to the win, Fire Service is the only side yet to lose in the ongoing campaign.
