Ghana Navy’s Female Basketball Team now resides atop the standings in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division.
Navy recorded its third win of the current campaign following an impressive 53-50 win over defending champions Braves of Customs.
Going into the fixture, Navy was second in the standings behind Braves but the win catapults Navy into the driver’s seat.
Braves uninspiring run this season has cost the side to miss on the spot; the team lies third with six points after two wins and two losses in 2017.
Tudu Galaxy’s 34-30 win over Fire Service puts the side in second place replacing Braves in the process. Galaxy like Navy, is having a very good season and has the same record as the league leaders with three wins and a loss.
However, Navy edges Tudu with a superior goal difference.
