Tudu Galaxy put an emphatic print on its title winning ambitions for the 2017 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division after recording another impressive win at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.
The home side beat Fire Service 34-30 in the second game of the round to earn a third win in four games played this season.
Despite the loss of several players prior to the ongoing campaign, Galaxy has hit the ground running to put the side at the heart of the title conversation.
In the opening tie however, Ghana Navy beat Braves of Customs 53-50 to compound the underwhelming season the 2016 Champions have had.
Braves record for the season, two wins and two losses, is a far cry from a bad start to the new campaign but the defending champions did not lose a game last season.
Aside Galaxy, Navy has enjoyed a good start to this season winning three games in four outings. Navy’s win for the season is more than it got the whole of last season where the team finished sixth.
Navy is on a two game winning run following a 46-37 win over Fire Service.
