Members of Akatsi Rifles Basketball Club will be in action this weekend as Akatsi All Star Game takes place Akatsi Senior High Technical School Basketball Court on Saturday April 15.
The event is an initiative by the team to bring old and new players together to compete and raise funds to build a court in the district.
As such, organizers of the program have called on teams including a special select side from Aflao and Akatsi Senior High to compete in the games.
Aside the main games, individual events such the three point shooting contest and slam dunk contests will be vied for.
Rifles recently began competing in the Tema Community Basketball League and are in Group B with the likes of Tema Heat, Ghana Navy and Don Bosco Giants. Rifles lost its opening game of the season to Tema Community 4 courtesy a 31-39 loss.
