The 2017 Nigeria Premier Basketball League commences today with four games scheduled to be honored at the National Stadium in Lagos.
Customs will play Kwara Falcons in the opening game of the new season with a 16:00 GMT Local time tipoff before debutant Hoops and Read take on Police Baton in the second game of the opening round.
The Atlantic Conference teams will remain in action in the opening weeks as Hoops and Read play NAF Rockets while Police Baton takes on Customs.
Both games will be played at Lagos’ National Stadium at 16:00 and 18:00 GMT Local Time.
Defending Champions Kano Pillars begin its title defense on April 20 with a matchup against Bauchi Nets and follow it up with a tie against Gombe Bulls on April 22 in the Savannah Conference.
Pillars represented the West African powerhouse at the Africa Club Championship but missed out on a podium finish after placing fourth.
The 16 team league regular season is scheduled to end on August 5 before the playoffs take place August 14-18,
The final game will be played on September 9.
