2015 Tertiary Player of the Year winner at the Ghana Basketball Awards Romeo Enan has noted changes in basketball in Ghana when contacted by Basketballghana.com.

In an exclusive interview with the top shot blocking Center, he fingered the rise of teams, with specific reference to the UPAC Basketball Championship, is a clear indication of the growth of the game in the West African country.

After his former team Accra Technical University (ATU) placed third in this year’s edition of the Championship behind Marshalls University College and University of Ghana (UG), Enan said:

“It means that teams and players are improving and coming up. It shows that something is being done to raise the image of basketball in Ghana and it’s a good thing for the future… I wish to congratulate UG and Marshall for their
success”.

Enan was part of ATU’s legendary team that won two straight Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship titles in 2011 and 2015.

He currently plays in the Nigerian League and was nominated in the Most Valuable Player Award category in his debut season.
