Record winners of the UPAC Basketball Championship, Accra Technical University (ATU) takes on University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) in the bronze medal game after missing out on the final game.
ATU lost 39-41 to Marshalls University College in a cliff hanger of a game to miss out on a fourth straight final game.
UENR on the other hand, got blown out of the water by defending champions University of Ghana (UG) 20-45 in the former’s debut appearance in the final four.
The game is a repeat of the Group B quarterfinal matchup between the two side which ended 29-41 for Accra Technical that put the side on top of the group.
Regardless of the outcome of the game, it represents a step down from what ATU is used after winning two titles and placing second in last year’s Championship.
UG and Marshalls University College will battle for this year’s title in the final game for what is another repeat quarterfinal encounter. UG beat Marshalls 40-31 to top Group A.
