Central v Wisconsin.
The ongoing Private Universities Sports Associations Games (PUSAG) basketball competition has reached the knockout stage which is set to begin with games in the quarterfinals.

The competition operating under the umbrella multi sports event began on Tuesday April 4 has had its fair share of top level play.

Defending champions Marshalls University College is yet to be beaten and clashes with Pentecost University College in the first game of the knockout stage. Pentecost beat Methodist University 25-11 to seal its place in the quarters.

Last year’s losing finalist Radford University College plays Ghana Technology University College –Accra in the second quarterfinal before All Nations plays Regent University College.

Radford’s ascent in the competition keeps Executive Chairman of the Tertiary institution Nana Dwomoh Sarpong’s prediction to win gold this year after the close loss to Marshalls.

However, the list isn’t complete since Central University is logged in a battle with Wisconsin International University over the eligibility of a player on the latter’s team.

Central lost 12-16 to Wisconsin but is disputing the contest Basketballghana.com gathers.

The case is being reviewed.
