The 10th Private Universities Sports Associations Games (PUSAG) have started at the Cape-Coast Stadium with over 30 private tertiary institutions competing for top awards in multiple disciplines.

The basketball competition is one of the most anticipated events of the games with a bevy of top teams in the running for the title. Defending champions Marshalls University College is in Group A alongside Central University and Wisconsin International and Garden City University Colleges respectively.

With the exception of Garden City, all three members of the group competed in this year’s Universities,

Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship preliminary games. Marshalls is still in the competition following its qualification to the quarterfinals.

Other teams that competed in the tournament have been placed in different groups in the competition.
Ghana Technology University College (GTUC-Accra) and Catholic University College, Ghana are in Group D while Pentecost University College lies in Group C.

A couple of UPAC competitors have been placed in Group B; All Nations and KAAF University Colleges both played in Zone B at the UPAC.

Like Marshalls, All Nations has made it to the quarterfinals of the competition. Both teams are expected in Accra to honor quarterfinal matchups on April 7 at the University of Ghana.
