Scorpions forfeit game; lose to Sunyani Technical

Barracks Scorpions has lost its tie against Sunyani Technical University (STU) via a walkover after failing to show up for the game which was set to be played at the Eusbett Hotel Court in Sunyani.

The game was scheduled to tipoff right after UENR’s game with Desert Rabbits which tipped off at 15:00 GMT.

However, players of STU were forced to wait several minutes for the Scorpions entourage but they failed to show up forcing officials to declare a walkover win for STU.

The tertiary side got a 20-0 win and maximum two points in the process.

This is the second consecutive no show from Scorpions in light of the team’s failure to honor the tie against University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) last week.

UENR beat Desert Rabbits 17-9 in the latest round of games that had LIR Royals sink West Siders 26-13 and Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints deliver a stunning 27-26 win over defending champions and league leaders Suncity Braves.
