The 2017 Private Universities Sports Associations Games (PUSAG) begins on Monday April3 at the Cape-Coast Sports Stadium in Ghana’s Central Region capital.
The Games will be the tenth edition of the Games since its inception in 2007.
Over 30 Private Universities in Ghana are expected to compete for laurels in several sports disciplines including football, track and field events and volley ball.
However, the most anticipated event, basketball, features some of the nation’s best teams compete in the annual event.
Defending champions Marshalls University College headlines this year’s group which has the likes of Central University, Pentecost University College, Wisconsin International University College and Islamic University College.
Marshalls University will be in the line of fire for the three day competition as competing in the games will be the first of a busy week for the 2016 Champions.
The side is expected to compete in the quarterfinals of the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship on Thursday April 7 after qualifying from the preliminary zone.
