Fire Service (red) beat University of Ghana 36-32.
Braves (yellow) in action against Galaxy.
Two sides on the opposite end of form, Fire Service and Ghana Navy clash later today at the Lebanon House in Tudu in the opening game of the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division games.

The tie is set to tipoff at 17:00 GMT and precedes the top tie between University of Ghana (UG) and defending champions Braves of Customs.

Braves go into the fixture on the back off a 46-26 hammering of Fire Service which pushed them up to second in the standings with four points just a point behind leaders Tudu Galaxy.

With Galaxy inactive for the round, Braves has a big chance to take up space on top of the standings.

Forward/Center Matilda Gordon isn’t expected to be with the team as the reigning Most Valuable Player Award winner is still nursing an injury.

UG on the other hand will feel hard done by following how results panned out in its last game against Fire Service which it lost 32-36.

The tertiary side has won one in three games played in the league and should be in the hunt to balance its record for the season.
