The 2017 UPAC Basketball Championship knockout games will be played on April 7 and April 8 Basketballghana.com can confirm.
The latest news is a shift from the original schedule that had quarterfinal games set for April 6 and 7 and the semifinals and final games set for an April 8 showdown.
However, the new timeline means this year’s winner will be determined over a two day span at the grounds of reigning Champions University of Ghana (UG).
All teams that have made it to the latter rounds of the competition will be fixed in two groups at a live draw on top rated basketball show “Courtside” on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports. The program runs between 14:00 and 16:00 GMT.
UG’s title will be up for defense against Accra Technical University, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), University of Development Studies (UDS), University of Cape-Coast (UCC) and Marshalls and All Nations University Colleges respectively.
This year’s UPAC Championship is sponsored by EcoBank Ghana Limited.
