Tertiary teams who double as competitors in the 2017 UPAC Basketball Championship and GSP Basketball League will play back to back games.
University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG and Sunyani Technical University (STU) will compete for a quarter final slot in Zone F in Kumasi on March 25 at the Kumasi Technical University (KTU).
However, the teams will be in action on March 26 at the Eusbett Hotel in Sunyani to play in the GSP League as all three teams all engrossed in key battles in the burgeoning league.
UNER sits second just two points behind leaders and defending champions Suncity Braves while CUCG and STU lie third and last on the eight team roster.
UENR represented the zone in the 2016 Championship and is in line for another quarterfinal appearance in Ghana’s capital, Accra in April.
Games in Zone G will be played at KTU involving Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana Technology University College-Kumasi and host KTU. Only winners of the respective zones qualify to the latter stage.
