LIR Royals’ tie against Sunyani Technical University (STU) headlines games to be played in the Global Sporting Projects (GSP) Basketball League this weekend at the Eusbett Hotel Court in Ghana’s Brong-Ahafo region capital.
The matchup pairs the seventh placed side against the bottom ranked side in the league for what could be the ultimate decider on which team finishes last at the close of the season. Royals leads STU with two points having amassed 13 points.
However, the game will be played after Desert Rabbits open the round with a crunch game against defending champions Suncity Braves.
Barracks Scorpions take on University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) with the former aiming to recapture the form that had the side in second place behind Braves.
Scorpions have lost all three games since the league recommenced on March 4.
The final game has West Siders play Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints.
All games will be played on Sunday, March 26 in order to accommodate tertiary teams who will be in action at the UPAC Basketball Championship in Kumasi a day before.
