Toronto Raptors shooting guard DeMar DeRozan had a great Thursday night in Miami as he became the first Raptor to get back-to-back 40-point game since Vince Carter in 2001.
Raptors cool Heat
The Toronto Raptors beat the Heat in Miami 101-84 on the back of DeMar DeRozan’s 40 points and six rebounds, Norman Powell had 14 points, and Delon Wright had 13 points and seven rebounds.
Miami were led by Hassan Whiteside who had a 16-point, 14-rebound double-double, Goran Dragic had 13 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and four steals, and Rodney McGruder had 13 points and four rebounds.
Nets trap Suns
The Brooklyn Nets won their sixth game in March after beating the Phoenix Suns 126-98. Brook Lopez had 19 points and six rebounds, KJ McDaniels had 16 points and eight rebounds, while Trevor Booker finished with 14 points and eight rebounds.
Devin Booker had 28 points for the Suns, Marquese Chriss had a 23-point, 11-rebound double-double, and Alex Len also had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Seth Curry had 23 points and four assists as the Dallas Mavericks won their tightly contested matchup against the LA Clippers 97-95. Harrison Barnes had 21 points and Dirk Nowitzki had 14 points, four rebounds and four assists.
The Clippers were led by Blake Griffin with 21 points and five rebounds, Chris Paul had 15 points, six rebounds and six assists, and DeAndre Jordan finished the game with a 14-point, 18-rebound double-double.
Spurs tame Grizzlies
The San Antonio Spurs held home court and beat the Memphis Grizzlies 97-90. LaMarcus Aldridge had 23 points and eight rebounds, Kawhi Leonard had 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists, and Patty Mills had 15 points and five assists.
Mike Conley led the Grizzlies with 22 points and six assists, Marc Gasol had a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double, and Vince Carter finished with nine points.
Blazers scorch Knicks
The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the New York Knicks 110-95. Damian Lillard had 30 points, four rebounds and five assists, CJ McCollum had 20 points and four rebounds, Jusuf Nurkic had a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double, while Nigerian forward Al-Farouq Aminu finished with 10 points and nine rebounds.
The Knicks were led by Kristaps Porzingis with 18 points and nine rebounds, Courtney Lee had 16 points and four assists, and Mindaugas Kuzminskas ended the game with 14 points and eight rebounds.
