Seven exciting games were played in the NBA last night, producing some close results and elating on-court action.
Warriors conquer Oklahoma City
The Splash Brothers made it rain threes in Oklahoma City and helped the Golden State Warriors beat the Thunder 111-95. Klay Thompson had 34 points and six rebounds, Stephen Curry had 23 points, four rebounds and six assists, while Draymond Green had 10 rebounds and six assists.
Nigerian-American guard Victor Oladipo led OKC with 17 points, six rebounds and five assists, Enes Kanter had a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double, and Russell Westbrook finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
Clippers cut Knicks
The Clippers defeated the New York Knicks 114-109 in Los Angeles on the back of Blake Griffin’s 30 points and six rebounds, Austin Rivers had 17 points, DeAndre Jordan had a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double, JJ Redick and Jamal Crawford combined for 28 with 14 points apiece, and Chris Paul had a 13-point, 13-assist double-double.
The Knicks were led by Kristaps Porzingis with an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double, Derrick Rose had 18 points, four rebounds and five assists, and Carmelo Anthony ended the game with 16 points and four rebounds.
Rockets strike Nuggets
James Harden’s 29-point, 11-assist double-double led the Houston Rockets past the Denver Nuggets 124-125. Eric Gordon had 18 points, and Trevor Ariza had 14 points and four rebounds.
Gary Harris had 28 points and four assists for the Nuggets, Will Barton had 24 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, while Nikola Jokic ended the night with a 22-point, 13-rebound double-double.
The Boston Celtics defeated the Washington Wizards 110-102. Isaiah Thomas had 25 points, four rebounds and four assists, Avery Bradley had 20 points, nine rebounds and four assists, and Jae Crowder and Al Horford both had 16 points and nine rebounds.
The Wizards were led by Bradley Beal with 19 points and four rebounds, John Wall had 16 points, four rebounds and eight assists, and Bojan Bogdanovic finished the game with 14 points and six rebounds.
Pacers outplay Jazz
The Indiana Pacers stunned the Utah Jazz and handed them a 107-100 beating, Jeff Teague had 21 points, five rebounds and five assists, Paul George had 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists, and Myles Turner had 16 points and six rebounds.
Gordon Hayward had 38 points for the Jazz, Rudy Gobert produced a 16-point, 14-rebound double-double and George Hill tallied 16 points, six rebounds and six assists.
Magic dazzle Sixers
The Orlando Magic beat the Philadelphia 76ers 112-109. Nikola Vucevic had a 26-point, 13-rebound double-double, Algerian-French guard Evan Fournier registered 19 points and four rebounds, Aaron Gordon had 17 points and four assists, and Congolese center Bismack Biyombo finished with seven points and six rebounds.
Philly was led by Richaun Holmes with a 24-point, 14-rebound double-double, Robert Covington also had a double-double with 23 points and 14 rebounds and Nik Stauskas had 20 points and five rebounds.
Hornets sting Hawks
The Charlotte Hornets defeated the Atlanta Hawks 105-90. Kemba Walker had 16 points, four rebounds and four assists, Cameroonian-French guard Nicolas Batum had 16 points and six assists, and Frank Kaminsky had 14 points and five assists.
Gambian-German guard Dennis Schroder delivered 20 points and six assists, Dwight Howard had a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double, Ersan Ilyasova had 13 points and six rebounds, while South African-Swiss forward Thabo Sefolosha finished with 11 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
