Defending Global Sporting Projects (GSP) Basketball League Champions Suncity Braves have recorded the biggest win of the 10th round following a 41-13 shellacking it delivered to Barracks Scorpions at the Eusbett Hotel Court in Ghana’s Brong-Ahafo capital Sunyani.
The win margin bested every score recorded in the round which had no surprises unlike recent rounds since the league recommenced after a lengthy break.
Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints topped Desert Rabbits 28-22 in the opening game before West Siders beat Sunyani Technical University (STU) 17-15.
University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) piped LIR Royals in the final game of the round.
The games come in exactly a week before tertiary teams competing in the league head to Kumasi to play in the UPAC Basketball Championship on March 25.
Originally games involving the likes of UENR, STU and CUCG were set to be played on March 22 before the change. UENR made it to the UPAC quarterfinals in 2016.
Due to the arrangement, games in the 11 week are likely to be postponed in the league.
