DC Dynamics has lost its second game on the bounce in the 2017 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I season.
The Dansoman-based side lost 38-55 to the division’s debutant Adenta Leopards in a game played at the Lebanon House. Tema Youth beat Ghana Navy 72-65 to complete the round’s fixtures.
This comes almost a week after losing 46-59 to Tudu Magic in the opening game of the new season at the CCYC Court at Kawukudi and represents another poor start to the season for Dynamics.
In the opening rounds of the 2016 season, Dynamics lost two straight games against Reformers of Prisons and Teshier Rangers to open the season but beat Holy Family 40-39 on Week 3.
The latest loss this season was a result of a poor start from DC as Adenta run off to a 12 nothing lead in the first quarter before David Maja’s shot got Dynamics on the board for the first time in the game. Key players including captain Dennis Boateng and Sena Asante missed out on the game.
Trailing 15-30 in the first half, the Dansoman lads opened the third in blistering fashion with two straight three point shots.
However, Leopards stepped up to halt the run and go on to clinch its maiden win in Division I; Leopards gained promotion to the division after winning Division II last season.
