Sunyani Technical University is now bottom of the league.
Defending Global Sporting Projects (GSP) Basketball League Champions Suncity Braves’ shock loss to lowly ranked LIR Royals in Week 9 made the headlines in the Sunyani-based league last week.

However, Barracks Scorpions are in line to compound the woes of Braves when the two sides clash at the Eusbett Hotel Court in Ghana’s Brong-Ahafo region capital ON March 18.

The tie will be the third game of the round but it will be one of the keenly followed contests as many will be interested to see how the 2016 Champions bounce back from its first loss of the season.

It should be a tough task for Scorpions who have been in free fall in the second half of the season.

Barracks lost 16-34 to Desert Rabbits and 32-37 to Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints in the previous rounds.

Second placed University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) will be in action against giant killers LIR Royals as Sunyani Technical University battles with West Siders and CUCG Saints play Desert Rabbits.

Despite the loss, Braves leads the standings with points, two ahead of UENR. The opening game between CUCG Saints and Rabbits tips off at 15:00 GMT.
