Galaxy (white) beat Braves in the opening round.
Braves in action against Galaxy.

UG (blue) lost to Navy 26-41.
Tudu Galaxy will be brimming with confidence as it prepares to play University of Ghana (UG) in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division.

The second week also features defending champions Braves of Customs take on Fire Service for the latter’s first game of the season.

Homeside Galaxy is scheduled to play UG at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu at 17:00GMT a week after beating Braves of Customs 31-29 in grand style.

Despite having just six players available for selection, Galaxy did manage to record the incredible win over a side that did not lose a game last season.

After losing 26-41 to Ghana Navy, UG is back in action but this time against Fire Service who will be playing the team’s first game of the new season.

UG definitely will fancy its chances against Fire considering the latter team ended last season rock bottom with just a win all year.

Both games will be played in honor of former Accra Basketball League Administrator Benjamin Baafi who passed away on March 1.
