The Tema Community Basketball League preseason, the Campaign tournament, heads into the latter stages with the preliminary rounds concluded. All games including semis and finals will be played on March 12.
Ashaiman Lions take on Tema Community 2 as Tudu Magic plays DC Dynamics and Adenta Leopards play Ghana Navy. League champions Nungua Coldstore will be up against Tema Heat at the Community Basketball Court in the quarter finals.
However, Coldstore will be without recently recruited Center Joseph Boye who picked up an injury earlier in the week.
The athletic big man has been key to Coldstore’s dominant start to the year after leaving Tema Heat formerly Flashlights. His tremendous play earned him Most Valuable Player honors in Group A.
Fortunately for the Heat, Center Gershon Dzorvor is in good shape to return from a head injury that forced him to be out two weeks. He sustained the injury during Heat’s Group B campaign and has had to sit out during that time.
Basketballghana.com can confirm the former St. John’s School standout will be in action on Sunday for the big matchup.
