Marshalls University College’s Mishael Jamani Salifu and brother Summers Salifu are in line to headline the 2017 UPAC Zone A games scheduled to take place on March 12 at the University of Ghana (UG).
The brothers, both Guards, will join teammates on the 2015 fourth placed side’s quest for a quarter final spot in this year’s Championship.
The side plays Ghana Technology University College (GTUC), Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and Regional Maritime University College in the zone.
Games in Zone D featuring University of Ghana (UG), Blue Crest University College, Ho Technical University and University of Professional Studies will be played the same day.
After starring for Marshalls last year, Mishael was joined by younger brother Summers after he was picked in the 2016 High School and College Draft.
Marshalls are expected to qualify from Zone A but the side is under pressure to perform better than the quarter final performance it put up in the 2016 edition.
The Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship is Ghana’s most prestigious tertiary hoops tournament in Ghana.
