The competition, dubbed, the “Campaign Tournament” is set to have teams in Group D make their respective debuts.
DC Dynamics, Adenta Leopards, Ghana Police and Teshie Rangers will battle for the top two spots in the group to secure places in the quarter finals.
All four teams play in the Accra Basketball League Men’s Divisions I and II and are competing in the Tema League curtain raiser to gain match sharpness for the upcoming Accra League.
The latter league tips off on March 10 but games in the Women’s Division starts a day earlier.
Six teams have qualified from Groups A, B and C with Tema League defending champions Nungua Coldstore and Community 2 qualifying from Group A.
Last season’s beaten finalist Ashaiman Lions and Tema Heat qualified from Group B and Ghana Navy and Tud Magic have qualified from Group C.
The 2017 Tema League is expected to commence later this month.
