Lamptey House and Kate Bannerman House have emerged winners of the Planet Sports Challenge which took place at Labone Senior High School.

The competition which is sponsored by Award winning firm Twellium Industrial Company, producers of Planet Fruit Drinks is an interschool basketball and football competition aimed at providing avenues for talents in some of Ghana’s Senior High Schools to show their skill.

Speaking to Basketballghana.com after the event, Event and Marketing Executive of Twellium Industries Brenda Ohenewa Asamani stated the need to develop Ghana’s huge talent pool is the reason her firm partnered with organizers Planet One Multimedia.

“We believe in the promotion of sports, that’s why we are supporting students at the second cycle level for them to exhibit their talents through sports. We are kicking this off with ten schools in the Greater Accra Region but the idea is to hold similar events across the country and eventually hold a grand finale sometime in the future” she said.

Lamptey and Bannerman emerged from a tough field of teams representing residential houses in the second cycle institution. The pair beat out the competition to emerge winners of the maiden edition.

Since it began operations in 2014, Twellium has emerged as one of Ghana’s leading firms, producing top selling products such as Rush Energy Drink and Verna Mineral Water.
