Seven teams completed registration for the Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I 2017 season when the registration window closed over the weekend.
Five teams registered to compete this year in the Women’s Division which tips off on March 9 with games in the men’s division set to tipoff a day later.
In both divisions, the number of teams is down from last season’s roster. For the Men’s Division, ten teams competed last year and six teams competed in the women’s division last season.
Defending champions Braves of Customs, Tudu Magic, DC Dynamics, Tema Youth, Adenta Leopards, Fire Service and Ghana Navy completed the registration process to compete in the Men’s Division.
For the ladies, Braves of Customs, Tudu Galaxy, Fire Service, Ghana Navy and University of Ghana registered.
Last season’s second placed team in the women’s division, Air Force is not in the list of the teams scheduled to compete.
Missing from the Men’s Division roster include Reformers of Prisons and Teshie Rangers.
