Oklahoma City Thunder workhorse Russell Westbrook is far from slowing down and he showed that last night by getting 21 points in the fourth quarter – a career high, on his way to a triple-double in OKC’s victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.

Thunder strikes Pelicans

The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the New Orleans Pelicans 118-110 on the back of Russell Westbrook’s 41-point, 11-rebound, 11-assist triple-double, Enes Kanter had 20 points and nine rebounds and Steven Adams finished with a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double.

Anthony Davis led the Pelicans with 38 points, seven rebounds and four assists, DeMarcus Cousins had a 31-points, 10-rebound double-double, and E’Twaun Moore had 10 points and four steals.

Clippers swat Hornets

LA Clippers point guard Chris Paul had a great return to his squad as they beat the Charlotte Hornets 124-121 in overtime. He had a 15-point, 17-assist double-double, Blake Griffin had a monster 43-point, 10-rebound double-double, and DeAndre Jordan finished with a 20-point, 19-rebound double-double.

The Hornets were led by Kemba Walker with 34 points, Cameroonian-French guard Nicolas Batum had 31 points, eight rebounds and four assists, and Jeremy Lamb had 19 points and six rebounds.

Spurs trample Lakers

The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 119-98 on the back of Kawhi Leonard’s 25 points, LaMarcus Aldridge had 16 points and nine rebounds, and Pau Gasol finished with 15 points and seven rebounds.

Brandon Ingram led the Lakers with 22 points, Jordan Clarkson had 19 points and D’Angelo Russell ended the game with 18 points and five rebounds.

Bucks dim Suns

The Milwaukee Bucks beat the Phoenix Suns 100-96. Nigerian-Greek forward Giannis Antetokounmpo had 28 points, eight rebounds and six assists, Michael Beasley had 17 points and Malcolm Brogdon had 15 points and seven rebounds.

The Suns were led by TJ Warren with 23 points and five rebounds, Alan Williams had a 17-point, 15-rebound double-double, and Devin Booker finished with 15 points and four rebounds.

Grizzlies bite Nuggets

The Memphis Grizzlies beat the Denver Nuggets 105-98 in a very tightly contested matchup. Mike Conley had 31 points, four rebounds and five assists, Marc Gasol had 23 points, five rebounds and six assists, while Zach Randolph finished with a 20-point, 11-rebound double-double.

Danilo Gallinari led the Nuggets with 24 points and four rebounds, Gary Harris had 19 points and Wilson Chandler had 14 points and nine rebounds.

The rest

The Utah Jazz beat the Washington Wizards on the back of Gordon Hayward’s 30 points, great shooting in the fourth by DeMar DeRozan gave the Toronto Raptors a 112-106 win over the Portland Trail Blazers, and Jaylen Brown’s clutch play saw the Boston Celtics beat the Detroit Pistons 104-98.
