The Accra Basketball League player registration period is set to end later today at the Lebanon House Courtyard at 17:00 GMT.
The period which started on January 19 comes to a close with teams expected to finalize complete the necessary procedures to ensure players are keyed in for the upcoming season.
This season is expected to begin on March 9 in the Women’s Division. The Men’s Divisions I and II will be played in the immediate days that follow with the likes of Adenta Leopards set to compete in the elite division after gaining promotion from the lower tier.
Basketballghana.com gathers some players have swapped teams in the lead up to the period’s final hours.
Per reports reaching Ghana’s leading basketball portal, last season’s beaten finalist Tema Youth has strengthened its roster by signing Center Joseph Boye and Point Guard Kingsley Quist from Fire Service.
The duo deepens an already rich team that includes veteran Forward McMartey Lawer, Kwame Boamah Djan and 2015 Ghana Basketball Awards Tertiary Player nominee Nana Owusu Ariyie.
Braves of Customs are defending champions in both Men’s Division I and Women’s Division respectively.
