Two of Ghana’s NBA prospects Amida Brimah and Ernest Aflakpui were in action last night for their College teams in the NCAA Division I. However, both players struggled in their teams losses.
University of Connecticut (UCONN) Center Brimah played 24 minutes in his side’s 70-75 loss to University of Houston.
The seven footer scored four points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked one shot.
Despite heading to the second half with a 39-29 lead, Connecticut’s play unraveled in the final minutes of the game to lose the lead and eventually the tie. UCONN has 14 wins and 13 losses for the season.
Matters didn’t improve for Aflakpui either as Temple University lost 69-71 to University of Central Florida.
The Power Forward’s underwhelming play in recent contests continued as he scored four points, grabbed four rebounds and made an assist.
Aflakpui’s poor form has cost him a spot in the starting lineup and has been coming off the bench for the Owls. His minutes have also reduced playing just 11 minutes in the side’s latest loss.
