With two days to go for the commencement of the 2017 UPAC Basketball Championship, Zone B host Koforidua Technical University (KTU) is ready to stage games in the first outing of this year’s edition.
The institution’s Male Basketball Team will be in action on Friday, February 24 against Valley View University, All Nations University College and KAAF University College; Aside Valley View the remaining teams in the zone are debutants.
The court is flanked all sides by high rising buildings which is sure to make for an intimidating atmosphere during games involving the home team.
Winner of the zone qualifies to the quarter finals due to be played in Accra on April 6 and 7.
For Valley View who head into the tournament without sharpshooter and leader Bright Otu-Masi, qualifying to the quarter finals for a second straight season will be the main focus.
The 2017 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship was scheduled to tipoff on February 17 but the untimely of death of Championship leading supervisor a day before meant games in Zone A had to postponed to March 10.
