Ghana and University of Connecticut Center Amida Brimah was a major contributor to the side’s 65-62 comeback win over University of Memphis.
The 7 feet tall defender scored 11 points in 21 minutes on the floor. He also had two steals, a block and three rebounds.
After trailing 26-40 in the first half, the Huskies staged a dramatic comeback by topping the Tigers 39-22 in the second half. Point Guard Jalen Adams top scored in the game with 19 points and dished out six assists.
Brimah scored in double digits once again which represents an uptick in performance on his offensive game which isn’t considered his strongest point.
UCONN on the other hand, recorded its 13th win of the season and after a slow start to the season, the side is picking up steam heading into the homestretch.
The Huskies will be in action on Sunday February 19 as it takes on Temple University in a game that pitches Amida against Ernest Aflakpui of Temple.
