Competing teams in the upcoming FIBA Under 19 World Cup have been drawn in groups for the Championship which takes place between July 1 and July in Cairo, Egypt.
The draw pitched 16 teams into four groups with Group D headlining the event.
The Group features reigning Champions and record winners of the Championship United States of America, Asian Champions Iran, African Champions Angola and Italy.
Italy placed third in the European Championship.
Mali has been drawn in Group C alongside Spain, Canada and Asian silver medalist Japan. The West African nation placed second at the 2016 Africa Under 18 Championship.
Group B features host Egypt, Germany, Puerto Rico and European giant Lithuania. The Eastern European powerhouse lost in the continental final game to France.
Group A is yet to be complete as the fourth qualified team from the Americas continental Championship is yet to be named.
However, the group’s remaining slots have been filled by Oceania Champions New Zealand, European Champs France and Asian side South Korea.
