There was action aplenty last night in the NBA with three thrilling games and Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins put up yet another impressive double-double performance in his team’s win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Kings rule Los Angeles
Sacramento Kings big man Demarcus Cousins and Los Angeles Lakers sharpshooter Lou Williams took their duel to the wire in their teams’ close matchup that ended 97-96 in favour of the Kings. Cousins had a 40-point, 12-rebound double-double, Darren Collison had 13 points, five rebounds and eight assists, and Ben McLemore also finished with 13 points.
The Lakers were led by Lou Williams with 29 points and five assists, Julius Randle had 11 points and seven rebounds, while Nick Young ended the game with 10 points and four assists.
Cavs tame Wolves
The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-108 on the back of LeBron James’ 25-point, 14-rebound double-double, Channing Frye also had a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds, and Kyrie Irving had 25 points and seven assists.
Andrew Wiggins led the Timberwolves with a massive 41 points and shot 55.2 percent from the field, Karl-Anthony Towns had 26 points, eight rebounds and four assists, while Senegalese center Gorgui Dieng finished with a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double.
Bulls gore Raptors
The Chicago Bulls held home court and beat the visiting Toronto Raptors 105-94. Doug McDermott had 20 points and five rebounds, Jimmy Butler had a 19-point, 12-assist double-double, and Taj Gibson ended the game with 14 points and four rebounds.
The Raptors were led by Kyle Lowry with 22 points and four assists, DeMar DeRozan had 18 points and five rebounds, and Norman Powell ended the evening with 13 points and four assists.
