Dion Waiters led the Miami Heat to their eighth consecutive win on Monday night and was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

Heat burn Nets

The Miami Heat defeated the Brooklyn Nets 104-96. Goran Dragic had 20 points and eight assists, Dion Waiters had 19 points, six rebounds and nine assists, while James Johnson had 17 points, four rebounds and five assists.

The Nets were led by Bojan Bogdanovic, who had 16 points and six rebounds. Brook Lopez had 14 points, three rebounds and three assists, and Trevor Booker and Isaiah Whitehead combined for 26 with 13 points apiece.

Sixers dethrone Kings

The 76ers beat the Sacramento Kings 122-119 in Philadelphia on the back of Robert Covington’s 23-point, 10-rebound double-double, Dario Saric had 17 points, five rebounds and six assists, while Nik Stauskas finished with 16 points.

DeMarcus Cousins led Sacramento with a massive 46-point, 16-rebound double-double, Willie Cauley-Stein had 17 points and three rebounds, while Matt Barnes finished with 16 points and three rebounds.

Timberwolves stop Magic

The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Orlando Magic 111-105 in overtime. Andrew Wiggins had 27 points and five assists, Karl-Anthony Towns had a 23-point, 12-rebound double-double, and Ricky Rubio finished with 22 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.

The Magic were led by Elfrid Payton, who had 21 points and four rebounds, CJ Watson had 18 points and four rebounds, Serge Ibaka had a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double, and DRC-born center Bismack Biyombo finished with six rebounds.

Celtics break Pistons

The Boston Celtics beat the Detroit Pistons 113-109 on the back of Isaiah Thomas’ 41 points and eight assists, Jae Crowder had 21 points and eight rebounds, while Al Horford and Marcus Smart combined for 26 with 13 points apiece.

Andre Drummond led the Pistons with a double-double (28 points and 22 rebounds), Kentavious Coldwell-Pope had 18 points, and Tobias Harris had 15 points and four rebounds.

Mavericks outplay Cavs

The Dallas Mavericks took care of home court and beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 104-97. Harrison Barnes had a 24-point, 11-rebound double-double, Wesley Matthews had 21 points and four rebounds, while Yogi Farrell finished with 19 points, five rebounds and four steals.

LeBron James had 23 points, nine rebounds and nine assists for the Cavaliers, Kyrie Irving had 18 points, five rebounds and five assists, and Channing Frye had 13 points and seven rebounds.

Grizzlies shade Suns

The Memphis Grizzlies were victorious in Phoenix and beat the Suns 115-96. Mike Conley had 38 points, six rebounds and nine assists, Marc Gasol had 18 points and six rebounds, and Zach Randolph also had 18 points and six rebounds.

Devin Booker had 22 points and six rebounds for the Suns, Marquese Chriss had 20 points and six rebounds, while Eric Bledsoe finished with 14 points, five rebounds and four assists.
