Ben Bentil goes into tonight’s NBA Development League (D-League) fixture against Windy City Bulls looking to get out a low scoring funk since returning to Fort Wayne Mad Ants midway through the month.
The versatile Forward has scored just eight points in two games played including one against the Bulls where he scored three points. Most notably missing from his repertoire of offensive skills is the three point stroke.
The Ghanaian international has converted just one three point shot highlighting his struggles on his second stint with the Indiana Pacers affiliate club.
Bentil made the headlines when he signed for Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) as a replacement for former Washington Wizards Center Andray Blatche. In 11 games he averaged 13.7 points.
The former Providence College standout was selected 51st in last year’s NBA Draft by Boston Celtics before signing with the Pacers who assigned him to Fort Wayne for further development. The Mad Ants have 16 wins and nine losses for the season.
