The 2017 season of the Accra Basketball League is set to tip off on March 9 in the Women’s Division and March 10 in the Men’s Division I.
Adenta Leopards and Tema Youth’s Junior side are the new sides for the upcoming season after both teams qualified from the Men’s Division II.
Ahead of the much anticipated season that has winners in both divisions, Braves of Customs, as defending champions, registration of new players is underway and expected to end on February 24; the exercise began on January 19.
Prior to the end of last season, Basketballghana.com gathered several reports of player disaffection with playing styles and teams and were ready to move to other teams.
With little under three months to the start of the season, the question is which teams are most likely to get players signed on and which teams are most likely to lose players during the registration period.
