NBA Development League side Fort Wayne Mad Ants have recorded a 78-102 loss to Windy City Bulls in Ghana Forward Ben Bentil’s first game since returning to the club after a brief stint in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).
The game, played earlier today, featured the former Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers player for 16 minutes as a reserve who went on to record five points, a steal and a rebound. Bentil averaged 13.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and I.0 steals per game in 11 games for the Flying Tigers.
Starting Forward Alex Poythress top scored for the Mad Ants with 18 points.
The loss is Mad Ants eight in the season and puts them second in the Central Division of the Eastern Conference behind Toronto Raptors affiliate Raptors 905. Bentil featured for the Mad Ants just once in a game against Greensboro Swarm before leaving for China.
Veteran NBA player Will Bynum featured for the Bulls.
After getting drafted by Boston Celtics 51st overall in the 2016 Draft, Bentil signed with Indiana Pacers before getting assigned to Fort Wayne. He is Ghana’s first ever born player to be drafted into the NBA.
