The 7th Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games host University of Cape-Coast (UCC) has earned massive praise for successfully hosting seven of Ghana’s public universities in the 10 day multi sport event.

The institution earned rave reviews for putting up a modern indoor basketball court to host the basketball competition which was won by University of Ghana (UG) after beat the host team 75-56 in the final.

“In terms of organization it’s been on point…if you also look at the auditorium where the basketball activity is taking place almost a world class court which we have over here.”

“I think this is the first time in the country because am yet to see this in any other university and that is very good for UCC” Promasidor Ghana Limited-sponsors of the Games- Brands Manager Joseph Ashong said in an interview with Basketballghana.com.

For GUSA president Dr. Joseph Kwasi Ogah, UCC’s edifice was worth noting:

“This is the first time in the history of GUSA that we have to play basketball in an indoor facility and you could see that in the excitement of the players and even the spectators and it is such a great thing that we have such a facility” he said.

University of Development Studies (UDS) won the bronze medal after a third place finish.
