The Seventh Edition of the Mini Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games Basketball final game will be contested between host University of Cape-Coast (UCC) and University of Ghana (UG).

The game takes place on Thursday January 12 at UCC’s Gymnasium right at 8:30am right after Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) plays University of Development Studies (UDS) in the third place game.

Both teams scored impressive wins over UDS and KNUST with UCC beating UDS 76-56 and UG topping KNUST 43-35 in semifinal games played earlier today at the Gymnasium.

UCC’s win was a repeat of what transpired at the Main Games in January last year where beating UDS earned the side a bronze medal.

The side has a chance to go a step higher than its third place finish as it prepares to take on reigning GUSA Champions UG who beat strong rival KNUST in a closely fought game.

The score was tied at 32 in the third quarter before UG pulled away in the final quarter to seal a place in yet another final.

Below is a full list of semifinal result and final day schedule:

Wednesday January 10

UG 43-35 KNUST
UCC 76-56 UDS

Thursday January 12

UDS-KNUST (7:00 am)
UCC-UG (8:30 am)

UG beat KNUST.

KNUST in yellow will play for bronze.
